French MedTech company VYTRUVE has crossed the threshold of 13,000 prosthetic sockets produced through its digital platform, reaching more than 110 O&P professionals and organizations across 30 countries since its founding in 2020. The milestone reflects a broader shift in how prosthetists approach socket fabrication, as plaster-free workflows move from early adoption to mainstream clinical practice.
"The goal was never to change the way prosthetists practice," said Erwan Calvier, co-founder of VYTRUVE. "It was to give them the same clinical reference points they already trust, inside a digital environment. Removing plaster from the equation does not change what a good fitting looks like. It changes how long it takes to get there."
The platform covers all lower and upper extremity amputation levels, from transtibial and transfemoral configurations to sub-ischial and upper limb cases. Its check socket range, manufactured in transparent PETG, preserves visual assessment of skin contact and pressure points during fitting. For definitive manufacturing, VYTRUVE's patented Vtransfer process digitally transfers the inner shape and alignment of any existing socket to a production-ready positive model, enabling carbon lamination or full MJF printing in PA12S without any physical mold.
VYTRUVE's user base spans independent CPOs, multi-site clinic groups, hospital prosthetics departments, and rehabilitation centers. The platform's per-use pricing model, which requires no long-term subscription, has been a consistent driver of adoption among independent practitioners. Entry-level packages lower the initial investment further, including a fast-start bundle and a two-month rental option covering scanner and printer access.
"We see growing demand from North American markets," noted Luc Eckenfelder, Sales Manager at VYTRUVE. "CPOs there are actively looking for a solution that fits into their existing clinical workflow. They are not looking to retrain. They want better results in less time, and to offer their patients a care experience that reflects that."
With a full digital patient record built into the platform, including scan history, rectification data, and device specifications across visits, VYTRUVE is increasingly positioned as the digital infrastructure layer for practices that want to standardize care quality and reduce dependency on individual expertise.
